Dinner Invitations

Imaedas' Home Dinner

The warm-hearted Imaedas invited to their dinner
DonHon, who had not been able to eat home cooked meals
during their busy months of March and April.

Imaedas' days start and end so early like farmers,
and usually their dinner starts at 5PM.

This time too...
So rare for DonHon to be eating dinner this early
with sun still smiling up in the sky.....

- Appetizer platter -
The middle one is Don's favorite Takowasa (octopus with wasabi)
prepared in Mrs.'s own style!!

- Spinach Ohitashi -
Spinachi dipped in soy sauce and some soup

- Fried horse mackerel -
Marinated with sweet and peppery vegetable sauce

- Burdock salad -

Mr. and Mrs.are wondering what they should cook next?
or thinking "what's with this couple... are they pigs?

Imaeda!!
What is the name of this dish?
DonHon don't remember even though they remember it tasted awsome!
According to Don: "This is very Korean!"

- Japanese white rice -
This was so oishi------!!! hahahah

- Miso-nikomi Udon noodle -
This is the signature udon from Nagoya, Japan,
where both Imaedas are from.
Noodles are cooked in a pot with Red Miso based soup.
Surprisingly, Imaedas made even noodles by themselves!!!
DonHon loved the noodles so much...
When will they be invited again to eat this noodle again????

Drunk Hon got so excited with the smell of Miso-Nikomi Udon!!

- Chawan-Mushi -
Steamed egg hotchpotch! This is another DonHon's all time favorite.

- Edamame -

Suzukis' Home Dinner

DonHon and their duaghter crashed Suzukis'
to have Okonomiyaki!!

Unbelievable how Hikari can set up such cute dinner table
even when guests show up unannounced!
Hikari truly belongs in Westchester! kkk

The above pic is Don's favorite picture of this day!
Did grandpa wakagaeri? kkk

Osaka-style Okonomiyaki tasted so gooood!!!!
Thank you to the grandparents
from DonHon and their daughter!!!

  4. Hey you, anonymous MD!

None of the dishes in this post are prepared by Don or Hon!!! We have been too busy but Hon's good friends were kind enough to feed us nice home cooked meals!

We should do some catching up soon!!!
